Nurse Refresher Program
If you haven’t practised nursing for up to 5 years, but you’ve maintained your registration or enrolment with the Queensland Nursing Council (QNC), then this program will help you reconnect with a nursing career in our hospitals.
The program focuses on updating clinical nursing skills in a supported environment, and is designed for nurses and midwives wanting to return to the acute/sub-acute nursing environment. Our program is designed with your specific learning needs in mind.
At a Glance
- Designed for both Registered or Enrolled Nurses who have not practised in an acute environment for up to 5 years
- Includes both theoretical education modules (five modules) and paid supervised clinical practice (120 hours minimum)
- Provided at no cost to participant
- Designed to be completed in up to 12 weeks
- Start core education modules at home and complete the elective modules during supervised clinical practice
- Open to Australian citizens or permanent residents
